This new type of fishing park is situated along a 400m stretch of the Okawa river. Anglers can fish for char and salmon. Both banks of the river have fishing areas, and the park offers lessons in fishing technique [Japanese only].

The setting of Higashiyama Fishing Park is outstanding - it
is surprising how conveniently situated the area is for access from the Yuzawa Expressway IC. The park's water flows in from the nearby Uonuma River, and is situated in a magnificent green mountain setting. After a great days' fishing, the park offers a barbeque corner to enjoy your catch! |
