		Kannakuri is the name of a foot-spa on the Yuzawa high street. The water is from a natural hot-spring, and is very good for the skin. This bath can be used free of charge -- it's great to sit back, soak your feet and watch the world go by!

		This is a historic onsen hot-spring bath, famous for being used by Yasunari Kawabata. The bath uses it's own natural volcanic spring-water source. Yama-no-yu is popular with Yuzawa townsfolk, and you can tell the quality of the water by the mineral water aroma as you walk by the bath house!

‘Komako’ is the name of the heroine of the novel ‘Snow Country’ by Yasunari Kawabata. There is an onsen spa named after this character, located near the Yuzawa high street. This bath provides another chance to enjoy the Yuzawa onsen experience.

		‘Yuzawa Kogen’ is located on the Yuzawa high street, only a 5 minute walk from the train station. This is a ski resort during winter, with trekking trails and mountain gardens to be enjoyed in Summer. The resort also has an onsen spa at the foot of the resort, to sooth tired muscles after a day on the ski slopes or trekking trails.

Kaidou-no-yu is the name of a beautiful onsen hot-spring bath that we highly recommend. Set in Mitsumata, just 10minutes from Yuzawa by car, the spa boasts a beautiful ‘rotemburo’ heated outdoor bath -- for the definitive Japanese bathing experience!

Another favourite spa is the shukuba hot spring. This is near Tashiro ski resort, 20 minutes from Yuzawa by car on highway 17. The spa has a jacuzzi and sauna in addition to the baths, with restaurant facilities also available.

Iwa-no-yuu is the name of an onsen spa located close by Yuzawa fishing park -- this spa is great for bathing after a relaxing days fishing!
