Yuzawa has excellent access from Tokyo.

There are 12 ski resorts offering a wide variety of activities to suit every need from beginner to advanced levels, or you can simply come and play in the snow.

  • Naeba Ski Resort

    Located next to Naeba Prince Hotel.
    One of the largest resorts in Japan, it offers a wide variety of trails that meet every need. There are also restaurants and children's facilities.

    Access: Approx. 23 km or 50 mins by bus from Echigo Yuzawa Station on Joetsu Shinkansen

  • Kagura Ski Resort (Tashiro Station)

    There are many gentle slopes that are popular with families and women, such as the 1,300-meter-long Tashiro Alyeska Trail or the 1,050-meter-long Tashiro Ladies Trail.

  • Kagura Ski Resort (Mitsumata Station)

    The Kagura area offers the best powder snow and is recommended for intermediate and advanced levels.
    The Mitsumata area is suitable for beginner and intermediate levels with different trails, including one for events.

  • Nakazato Snow Wood Ski Resort

    The resort has a 1,500-meter-slope that is surrounded by forest at the foot of a mountain and has no gaps, making it a safe and fun place for women, beginners and families to enjoy.

    Access: From Echigo Yuzawa Station on Joetsu Shinkansen, transfer to Joetsu Line and alight at Echigo Nakazato Station. Approx. 0.3 km or 15 mins on foot.

  • Yuzawa Nakazato Snow Resort

    The resort has slopes that everyone can enjoy from small children and beginners to advanced levels.
    In particular, their family-friendly activities and resort facilities are popular.

    Access: From Echigo Yuzawa Station on Joetsu Shinkansen, transfer to Joetsu Line and alight at Echigo Nakazato Station.

  • Yuzawa Park Ski Resort

    The entire slope faces the north, so it boasts steady snow quality. The resort offers 11 different trails.

  • Iwappara Ski Resort

    The wide, fan-shaped slopes are suitable for beginners to practice in.
    The resort also has Sled Land and other attractions, which aim to provide customers with fun and energy.

  • Kandatsu Snow Resort

    Offers 13 trails with good snow quality and snow depth.
    From beginners to experts, everyone can enjoy the soft powder on the slopes. The resort also provides complete amenities and a bathing facility.

  • NASPA Ski Garden

    NASPA Ski Garden offers a hotel and resort condominium.
    Despite its small size, this skiers-only resort caters to all technical levels and has a great view of nature.

  • Ipponsugi Ski Resort

    This central ski resort is located in the middle of Yuzawa Onsen.
    It only offers skiing, sledding and playing in the snow. In the middle of the slope, there is a large cedar tree from which it derived its name.

  • Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort

    With a large ropeway that can fit 166 people, visitors will be transported to the slopes situated at an altitude of 1,000 meter in no time at all.
    Do not miss the floating powder snow and excellent view.

  • GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort

    It is connected directly to the platform of Gala Yuzawa Station on Joetsu Shinkansen.
    You can visit the slope from the center house using the gondola.
    The ski resort is extensive with its Falcon downhill course that measures 2.5 km and three areas, among other facilities.
